I must confess, I wasn't too excited about replacing my 26 year old roof but it had to be done! I am so happy with the new roof! Everyone was great to work with from the owner, the supervisors and the crew! The crew even had to contend with a pesky neighbor!! I live in a HOA and my neighbors are stopping and asking about my roof and who did the construction. Anyway, I highly recommend !!!!

I had a portion of my asphalt roof be stripped away by a wind storm in Dec/25, yikes. I bought this house just over 2 years ago, and its roof had been replaced 8 years earlier. I contacted Rick at Specialty Exteriors for an estimate on repairing the damage. He came out quickly, which was great, as at the time, all of the roofing companies were busy repairing damage in the area. After a quick inspection, he was able to explain why this occurred (the existing shingles had been incorrectly installed: the nails were not in the "nailing strip" on the shingles, and there were not enough nails used...) He gave a very reasonable estimate and one of his technicians came out a few days later to repair the damage. The repair blends perfectly with the rest of the roof, if I didn't know where the repair had been, I wouldn't be able to see it. The technician also explained to me why the prior roof had this problem (incorrect previous installation.) Too bad this house's previous owner hadn't worked with Specialty Exteriors, as then this repair wouldn't have been necessary! Very happy with this company and I'll be back if (when) I need help in the future.

Had Mark Simmet with Speciality-Exteriors come out and take a look at my roof. He was very professional, courteous, brand conscious, using high quality product.. as in all Owens Corning. All e-mails and estimates with them were through Acculynx, very automated and efficient form of communication.. it was obvious to me that they’ve been doing this a long time.. since 1979 to be exact. This company was recommended to me by a longtime commercial roofer. 5 stars for sure!

I highly highly recommend Specialty Home Products, Inc. for any home projects they offer... especially roofing! The service I received was phenomenal from getting a quote to a finished beautiful roof. I had tons of questions that they not only answered in a way I understood but also promptly. I was checked in with and updated throughout the entire process. I wasn't pressured into anything and they were just honest and kind. Pricing was less than I had quoted for what I had thought was reasonable. The roofers had to work during the hottest days possible, they worked hard and quick. My house was built in 1910 and I'm pretty sure I'm the first to replace it so they had tons of layers and garbage. I was surprised to see my yard was cleaner than I left it. Truly, best company ever! I'm so thankful to all of them!

Everything went well and there was good communication with them. Only thing I would suggest is the crews need to get ladder stabilizers so the ladders do not rest directly on the gutters and to be mindful of any gutter leaf filters to prevent damage.

We were collecting water in the slider track apparently caused by the weep holes being plugged. Specialties personnel evaluated the problem and cleard the weep holes so that drainage could occur.

He inspected my roof and said no replacement was necessary at this time. My legacy cedar shake roof began leaking for the first time just as winter arrived late last year. Rick and his team took care of me immediately ... getting tarps up and the roof watertight until good roofing weather returned this spring. I originally wanted a heavier (thicker), more expensive roof product. Rick said that product wouldn't look good on a low angle roof like mine. As proof, he directed me to look at a house similar to mine with this heavy product installed. He was absolutely right ... it didn't look good on a low angle roof. He recommended a less expensive, but still very architecturally-appealing and quality product which I just had installed. I couldn't be happier. The materials and installation are absolutely top notch. Just as importantly, communication is excellent ... phone messages and emails are returned 100% of the time and always in short order. Highest recommendation.

Will need more done in the next couple years and will have them do it. Had a leak in a dormer room and caused lots of damage and they repaired the roof on the dormer.

We requested a complete siding replacement on our home. The overall estimate, sales, and scheduling process went really well. Informational and prompt communication.The installing team worked hard and provided a good result. The site clean-up left much to be desired. As the job was finished up there was some snow left on the ground, but as the snow as melted and we go around our property, we've found many razor blades, clips of nails, trash, food wrappers etc around the property. Pieces such as our radon pump weren't re-fixed to the home. This piece was frustrating, especially considering we have dogs and a toddler.

The only problem i had was with the billing. I should have received a hard copy in the mail and nothing came. I finally got a phone call saying if I don't pay they'll send it to collections. I immediately sent in a check for the full amount and 2 days later got a notice from the collection agency NACM. Stacey should have taken care of the situation but didn't! The work that was performed was perfect. Consequently my credit was dinged almost 100 points, NOT HAPPY!

We had a very Dark dining room they cut out drywall studs and built a new opening for a window it turned out wonderful the light is amazing they were efficient quick and clean. Would recommend to anyone looking to update windows.

**UPDATED** We had one skylight fail in September of 2023. We had a couple bids come out to replace both of them, (They're old and the 2nd one is about to fail. Plus we want them to match.) Specialty sent us a reasonable invoice, no frills, so we decided to go with them. In order to proceed they required a 50% deposit. We paid that October 3rd. We didn't even get so much as a, "payment received" automated email. I reached out multiple times at that point. All I wanted was some acknowledgement that the 50% deposit was received, the skylights were going to be ordered, a shipping ETA, or an estimated time frame for when we can expect work. Keep in mind, we have an active leak. Over a week later I finally get an answer. I'm frustrated at this point, and I am basically told, "well the skylights aren't in yet and there's a lot of people ahead of you." Nice. I will say though, they did coordinate to have someone come and tarp the leaking skylight at this point. Which still didn't go smoothly. First guy didn't show up when he was slated to come. So someone else came by the following day. We haven't heard a single word from them since then. I guess because I'm not doing a full roof job I don't get the amazing communication I see in the reviews? I finally reached out for an update via email 12/28/23. No reply. Let's chalk it up to the holidays. So I text to the rep 1/2/24. He said he was going to look into it and get back to me asap. Haven't heard back. I am not being unreasonable with my expectations, nor am I trying to be a difficult customer. I would simply love to know if the skylights were even ordered yet. Or, if there's 10 people ahead of us still, at least give me that. Say: we got it, they're ordered, but we can't get you down til February(or whenever). Literally, I would have been fine with that. I could have at least known when to expect something or when I should actually start following up. So I post this review, and then suddenly they wanted to send someone out the next day. We appreciate the follow up but we don't want this project to be slapped together on the fly either. So we declined having them the next day, and opted to schedule a date. The date comes. One guy comes out, and proceeds to take apart the currently non-leaking skylight. Then he says, "they ordered the wrong skylights" so he seems to put the skylight together again, and leaves. There's debris and shingles strewn about. So the sales rep calls us, and says there was a mistake, it's the right size but we forgot we had to build curbing for them. We will get you scheduled and it will be done right. This was in March I believe. Well about a week later, that skylight also started leaking, as it was not put back together properly. So I text the guy and said we need someone out here asap to tarp this one too. To their credit, someone did show up and tarp it within about 1 hour. Well, then same old song and dance, we don't hear from them again. Finally in May, my s/o emails the rep once again and just says, look dude, take this seriously and get us booked or just forget it and refund us. So they get us on the books, surprise surprise. We'll, the day finally came. The skylights and the curbing are installed. They caulked the curbing, but they do need to be painted, which we expected. But we found about 1000 nails strewn about the roof and the driveway. The shingles that were put back are sort of ripped and torn, which is odd because there was a whole bunch of new shingles leftover, why were crap ones put back around the skylights? Who knows. But they did tarp our hardwood floor and vacuum inside before they left. We did find a gouge in the floor though, but we have some matching wood putty. So I guess we can look past that. All things considered though, after all this hassle, I really think that this install should have been a white glove treatment, and it still was just pretty average. But we do like the look of the completed lights. Time will tell if they leak or not. Overall I would still consider this a 3 star service.

Specialty windows replaced a failed window for us. They were very efficient and did a great job. We have used specialty over the years for windows, skylights, and roof repairs. I would highly recommend their products and services.

Speciality Home Products installers Greg and Lupe are expert roofers. They did an excellent job on my roof tear-off and replacement. They were both professional, courteous, and didn’t mind if I observed them as they installed the new roofing and skylights. They ensured my property was tidy and cleaned up each day before they left. The co-owners, Rick and Mark, were both responsive to my scheduling needs and were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Specialty Home Products for a roof and skylight replacement.

I was very impressed with the crew, you could tell they had been working together for awhile and knew what they were doing. They put tarps all around the house to minimize the mess, and cleaned up at the end of each day. They had the right tools and equipment to do the job.

Great experience with Specialty Home Products. New roof, gutters, facia boards and attic vents installed. Also replaced aging skylight. Crew was professional and did excellent work. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again.

From our initial visit, discussion, and bidding process with Rick we were very impressed. At this point we had spoken with five other roofing companies and Home Specialty Products was by far the most honest and efficient. The crew that replaced our roof and skylights was absolutely fabulous! They were some of the hardest workers I have had the opportunity to witness. It was 100degree days and they finished a very large roof in four and a half days. The job was done expertly as I was inspecting along the way.HSP is a Platinum Owens Corning installer and we now have a 50yr warranty and can transfer to one additional owner.My wife and I highly endorse Home Specialty Products to get your job done affordable and by experts!P.S. After a site visit and establishing an estimate cost and giving a relative deposit, the guys arrived on schedule and completed the pre work for a Velux️skylight, replacement. The installers returned when the skylight was received. They installed it with great efficiency and hauled away the debris. Afterwards I received an invoice for the balance and a copy of the ten year skylight warranty. No complaints. Good job!
