Tom's copper flashing work not only looks beautiful, but gave us a bone dry attic. I'm not sure how he is able to do this detailed work on a rooftop in the freezing cold, but I sure am glad he did. I appreciate the great workmanship and communication. Thanks again!

Tom was a pleasure to deal with, extremely knowledgeable and honest. I had a leak in ceiling of my bathroom. I had a roofer come and look at it twice and they finally told me it was the skylight. I called two skylight companies. Tom was one of them. The first company I called gave me an estimate for the skylight over the phone without coming to take a look. Tom came and told me that it wasn’t the skylight at all. There were two areas on my roof that needed repairs. He could have told me that I needed a new skylight as well but he was honest and he saved me money. Contractors like Tom are hard to find. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Tom Barkocy is the best! I wish he did everything so that I never had to hire anyone else. My skylight was leaking into the living room. I had 5 companies give me an estimate - all from personal recommendations. Tom was the ONLY ONE who suggested a temporary sealant to try and stop the leak. He didn't know I was going to hire him for the job but he cared enough to do it. And at no charge. His price was very fair and his work is exceptional!

EXCELLENT SERVICE! My second time using him… He does an awesome job, quick prompt and reasonable… He replaced one of my skylights two years ago and I called him back for the second one and I couldn’t be happier! If anyone needs any roofing or skylight job/repair , Tom is the guy!!

Tom was great! Came right out when we had a roof issue, assessed what needed to be done & scheduled the work right away. He was able to fit us in before we got more rain & made sure everything was secure & fixed the way it should be. And he guarantees his work! Really enjoyed working with Tom & so happy we found him. He does the work himself so I’m confident it was done the right way.

This is an update ..Our roof had 2 repairs done, the first repair I had no issues..the 2nd repair the problem persists...it is very difficult to get Tom here to correct any issues, I may have to take him to court if need be.

We hired Tom to install a skylight in our attic space. Tom was super responsive, came out right away and talked us through everything. We were on a tight schedule and he really worked w us to accommodate us. On the day of the installation, he came bright and early and did a great job. We even had an issue come up in the middle of the job with some electrical wiring in the way, and Tom handled it himself. We are really thrilled with how the space looks now. It’s bright and airy. I've used Tom Barkocy two times to repair different parts of my roof. He is extremely knowledgeable, comes on time and his quality work is within a reasonable price. He keeps in touch with phone calls, provides a written quote and in my case provided a letter to my insurance company by the next day. I wish all tradesmen were as professional and easy to work with. He has my highest recommendation .

After a storm, the roof on my sunroom had been partially torn off. I reached out to Tom and he was there to take a look in the morning. He provided a reasonable quote, and made sure to get back within a couple days to fix the roof before upcoming storms, and corrected mistakes from previous contractors to make sure it would be secure. Overall incredibly professional, responsive, and a pleasure to have around. Thanks Tom!

When we reached out to Tom to get an estimate for repairing the roof of our 96 year-old house, he came in just a couple of days, and gave us a very reasonable quote. He explained what was causing the problem and saw right away how to fix it. After several hard rains through November, we could not be more satisfied with his excellent work. He exemplifies the word “professional”. We recommend him very highly.

I originally found Tom on Angie’s list about 6 years ago when I needed a roof leak patched. He was responsive, professional, and personal (and he did great work), so there was only one number to call when I needed skylights installed.This job was decidedly bigger and Tom handled it with ease. He was honest, personable, reliable, and knowledgeable, providing multiple options and helping guide the process when decisions needed to be made. His work is guaranteed, but I don’t need the guarantee to have faith in the work he’s done.If you have any need for skylights or roof repair, do yourself a favor and give Tom a call.

Tom came to give us consultation for repairing a section of our cedar roof. He was knowledgeable and personable. WOULD USE AGAIN!Tom replaced one and remounted another skylight that was installed poorly by another big-time area roofer.His dedication to detail gave us confidence.I fortunately was able to walk my rooftop to inspect the work later that day!Would recommend to friends.Larger companies are only as dependable as their WORST installerthat may show up.

Installation of the skylights by Tom Barkocy was excellent and I originally provided an excellent review. However, Tom failed to complete the trim and hasn't responded to multiple attempts to reach him by phone, email, Facebook Messenger and a fax. Last October he sent me a note promising to get back to me that day. He didn't. I didn't push for awhile, thinking it might be Covid related, but this is ridiculously poor service. Also, the solar powered skylight he installed in our bathroom hasn't worked for more than a year - making the solar installation a waste of money.

I had an excellent experience with Tom. I called and told him about the roof vents on my house needing replacement . He was there the same day to look at them and explain how he would fix it. It didn’t matter to him that this was a small job. He was very professional and trustworthy and came back to do the work exactly when he said. For any future roofing projects, I will definitely call Tom.

He took the time to actual share the basis for his assessment and what potentially needs to be done ( along with what potential windows could be better served for my home & why ). He explained the roofing angles and what type of setup is best for particular roofs. He has great enthusiasm for what he does, someone who genuinely enjoys their craft and providing the best possible services to clients. Highly recommend.

Tom & his crew replaced an outdated, incorrect sky light on our roof. Upon calling Tom for initial estimate, he was here in less than 2 hours to evaluate. Tom had great ideas on how to repair / replace. We immediately hired him & he placed an order immediately for a custom size sky light. He followed up later that week to give an update for the status of order & was here the next week to install. Beautiful work. Clean. Efficient. He also showed us in detail what was done & sent pictures of the roof top. So professional! Pricing was fair & I have recommended Barkocy Brothers to others in town. We are already planning some roof repair work this spring. Thanks again Tom!

Bruce Barkocy did my in-laws roof & several others in Wyckoff, NJ. They all look amazing! Biggest worry: Bruce would be expensive & "over charge." After (4) estimates, he did prove the highest by several thousand. But the more we struggled with "saving money," trusted, experienced friends compared the estimates, & concluded Bruce was the best! He was more involved & detailed than others, even allowing me to drive & compare other roofs in our Harrington Park. Bruce is clearly passionate about his work, details, & overall quality. You just have to meet him to understand. & albeit he insisted he’s not an interior designer, we are grateful he helped select the right roof color, vents, & gutters. We are very grateful & happy we went with “Bruce, the exterior designer.” :-) Our roof looks gorgeous! This is really an instance where you get what you pay for! Although you might not appreciate Bruce's final work each day, believe me, you'd noticed a mess up by another roofer daily! (JM Mariotti)
