Hugh from Solar Illuminations was a true professional. Diagnosed and solved a long standing problem with my skylight and fixed it within minutes. My skylight now functions perfectly. Solar Illuminations is a great company!

Hugh, Larry and crew were very professional, thorough, and respectful. They kept me in the loop on each phase of the install process and consulted with me when anything unexpected turned up (which is to be expected during any home improvement project). As an avid DIYer I greatly appreciated this. 4 skylights replaced in 4 hours. Even though I requested some additional work, the final bill was equal to the estimate with no surprise charges! They actually told me at the start, “if you need something done just ask and we’ll take care of it”. No debris was left behind either. Everything was cleaned up and taken away by Hugh. And by the way, we’ve had several events of torrential rains since then with no leaks! I definitely recommend Solar Illuminations to anyone that requires a skylight installation / replacement.

Hugh Gallagher and the Solar Illuminations team replaced 6 skylights in our house in August, 2021. Those skylights were "fixed" multiple times before but continued to leak. After the installation all skylights are leak free. Hugh was extremely professional, never pushed and always provided complete information. It was a pleasure to deal with him and the work was well done. The pricing was fair as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for new or replacement skylights.

I had a bad leak in the ceiling a year ago. Several roofers recommended roof replacement including the 2 skylights. But the roof was only 16 years old, so my instinct pointed to getting new skylights. Velux was the trust-worthy brand with NO-LEAK warranty. I found Hugh Gallagher's company Solar Illuminations with 5-star reviews on Velux website. Mr. Gallagher was responsive with estimate and installation, he also reminded me about the energy saving incentives. After installation, he programmed the remote control and made sure I was familiar and comfortable with the skylights and build-in blinds operation. Unfortunately, I found the ceiling was wet again months later. Mr. Gallagher personally climbed up the roof to check. This spring, he again brought the installer/roofer, Larry, to check to be sure. Larry pulled out 3 rusted nails in the shingles, unrelated to the skylights, as the culprit of the ceiling leaks. The level of service and after-installation care has been above and beyond ordinary. Last week, when we had an 80-degree warm day, I tried to open the skylights but found the remote malfunctioned. I call Hugh again. He drove 45-minutes to come out to help. I apologized to Hugh that I had become a pest, but he smiled and assured me that he wanted to be sure I was happy with the product and the service.

Hugh did a great job replacing our skylights. He was very patient and thorough in explaining my options. We opted for the solar skylights and so glad that we did. Hugh is a nice guy, professional and so easy to work with. If you need skylights replaced or installed, I recommend Solar Illuminations.

Solar Illuminations replaced three old skylights in our kitchen and hallway. Velux's five-star rating for this company is well-deserved. The work was completed in no time at all by Hugh and his professional team. And, as others have said, Hugh is a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Solar Illuminations.

I learned of Hugh Gallagher from Velux's website as he is listed as a 5-star installer. He replaced my 30 year old leaky skylight professionally and promptly. He and his crew came on time and did job with ease. Hugh was a pleasure doing business with.
