Skylight Construction came to the rescue when one of my skylights cracked and needed replacement. They worked with the manufacturer and got the entire replacement covered by warranty I didn’t even know I had. They are super responsive and professional. So happy with the work Maxim did at our house recently! He is so professional and explained each step of replacing our Retractable Skylight before, during and after completion. During the removal of our old one there were some issues replacing it with the updated version and he expertly solved the problems that were discovered. Very thorough and respectful on our property with demo and cleanup too. We would highly recommend using him.

We've had an issue with our skylights leaking ever since (oddly enough) we had a new roof put in. Apparently, our old skylights just couldn't handle the strain of being removed and then put back.Anyway, Max was prompt to return my call for an estimate, and upfront about his pricing. I had some lower estimates, but they were for bare-bones work, and I would have had to add on for work needed on the roof, remote blinds, etc. Max actually came out, looked at the skylights, examined the roof, and really listened to us when we explained the problems and what we wanted.(Aside from the leaking, we were also waaay too hot in the summer with the plastic dome skylights) Max gave us solutions that we didn't even know to ask for, and sent us a written estimate within a day or two.I'm really glad we decided to have him do the job! He was clean, professional, quick, and did a much better job at installing the skylights than the original installers. (The original skylights had no kind of slope or curb to divert rain - hence the leaking.) The price was the price - no nickel-and-dime price increases for this or that. Above all the new skylights are beautiful, and the remote blinds were part of the very fair quoted price, not an add-on feature. (I didn't even know blinds for skylights were a thing!)I wish I had a picture of the old ones to show the contrast. They were yellowing from the exposure to sunlight, but these new ones are glass, LowE to only allow light rather than heat in, and he fixed the area around the skylights on the roof by installing proper sloping curbs so water won't pool and/or leak into our living room. Yay!Thank you, Max and Skylight Construction, for our beautiful new skylights!

My husband and I are so thrilled with our new Velux skylights. I wish we had been able to do this sooner. We were referred to Max from friends down in San Juan Capistrano. We have been very pleased with the process from start to finish.Maxim was prompt on each appointment made from start to finish of the job. He was kind, professional and helpful in determining what would work best for us and what wouldn't based on the construction challenges we had with existing solar panels and attic construction with the AC etc now in the attic.We have played with the 3 skylights and have been so impressed with our options. Shade, screened in - we can open and let the heat out. They are wonderful!Photos show us with Max - and the living room and bedroom skylights that he upgraded to the Velux brand that open, have screens, have a shade that blacks out the sun etc.Hire Max. Max and team installed a solar powered motorized skylight shade. Work was quick and tidy. Price was reasonable and exactly what he quoted. They popped the skylight off from the roof and installed the shade in under 30 minutes. He also recommended a quality brand of shade that I trust more than Amazon DIY. Highly recommend them! If you’re looking for a company to do your skylights or replace skylights you already have, hire Max! I’m so glad I came across his company. We have 2 skylights in our home that were installed decades ago (not by Max) and we were looking to replace them for heat, uv control. Max was thorough, gave us ideas/options, but the part that really made us want to use his company for the job is because he was honest. He went on the roof and checked both skylights. He told us that we didn’t necessarily need to replace one of the skylights because it was fine. So he suggested we only replace one. He gave us a very reasonable quote a few days later and the entire time communicated with us to keep us informed on the process, pricing and timing of when the skylight would come in. When he arrived he brought the skylight (it’s perfect!) and his coworker. They were clean, pretty quick and so kind. We will definitely be using them again!

What an amazing experience. Max did a great job. He gave a quote on price and timeframe and met both. And what a great product. I’ve now had the skylights for a year and they’ve never failed me. They open and close quickly and the blinds work perfectly and in sync as well. In addition, we’ve been through several heavy rains and not a drop of water to be seen. I couldn’t be happier with the product or Max.

Skylight construction just replaced our decade-old acrylic skylight with a bronze cleared glass skylight today. Max is very fast at replying my call or message. The first time when he came for a quote, I was surprised he brought a cushion getting on my roof. He is very careful of my roof tiles. He came today on time and replaced my skylight about an hour. There is dust on the wood under the skylight. He explained what caused the dust to accumulate and did something he thinks will help. I am very happy with his service.

Skylight construction just replaced our old skylight and did the job in a heartbeat! We recommend replacing the fleshing around the light. We also bought that from him. We had the roofer change the flashing as they were changing the roof. Thank you Max for coming again and making sure that the flashing was installed properly!

We had decided to replace our home's roof and as part of that project decided that it was time to finally tackle a decades old problem with both sets of skylights we had on our current roof.The skylights over my office were able to reject some of the worst summer sun and heat, but not nearly enough to stop the generated heat still getting through from overrunning our AC's ability to cool that office space down sufficiently. It seemed with a new roof going on this would be an excellent time to also address this long-standing skylight issue.We also had a master bathroom skylight which was quite old and noisy (it was a switched skylight able to be opened and closed from a wall switch), but terribly inefficient for cutting heat transfer as well, so we added that to our project list.This is when we were introduced to the Skylights R Us industry and much more confusion than we had anticipated.In work we have done for our home we have found that family businesses with owners who have that pride of ownership and product delivery are the best people with whom to do business.We found Max at Skylight Construction Company to be another terrific add to the workmanship we ultimately have brought into our home.Max is an awesome listener and has an inherent desire to understand exactly what you are hoping to achieve with your skylight install. Max is the best! I asked him to replace a really old, really big, fixed skylight. I told him my wishes and priorities and he went to work to inspect, measure, and evaluate everything. Max and his team did an amazing job replacing our two 30+ year old skylights in our bedroom and bathroom. These had been slowing leaking for years and I had put it off for fear of the hassle, but Max made the process very easy and did quality work. There was no change to the original estimate even though accessing our old skylights to remove took extra time due to the previous reroofing which covered the brackets and were hidden. The new skylights look amazing and make such an incredible difference in the lighting and feel of our rooms. I will be reaching out again soon for some sun tunnel work!

I highly recommend Max from Skylight Construction. We had a cracked skylight and found Skylight Construction on the Velux website. I sent an email on Friday and was surprised when Max contacted me on Saturday. Max came out to Corona on the following Monday to determine the size of the skylight and sent the proposal that night. Max let me know when the skylight was ordered, when it arrived, and then called to schedule the installation in a couple of days. On the day of the installation, he kept me apprised of any changes in the schedule. I am extremely satisfied with Max and Skylight Construction.

During the vendor selection process, Max was more than willing to answer all our questions, even taking the time to consult with the skylight manufacturer (Velux) beforehand in order to give us more definitive answers to my very specific questions (I'm an engineer and a longtime DIYer). He clearly has many years experience with Velux and understands roofing structures. He and his assistant were frank, professional and cordial during the entire installation. I had to take time off to be available to get a needed set of skylight repairs done. Max was spot on-time and resolved a broken skylight motor/ controller, resolved operation on two others plus reprogrammed remotes in very good time. We replaced 37 yr old skylights that were terrible at heat gain, and actually increased the temperature in the house. We chose to get Velux Solar powered flat glass skylights that open and have shades for the hottest days of the year. Interviewed three companies, and Max has by far the best approach and listens to what you want. His price is very fair and he is very knowledgeable. One company wanted us to do retrofit work on the ceiling on the inside for several thousands of dollars. Another said to get a custom size skylight and wanted to charge a ridiculous price. Geez. Completely unnecessary. Max solved the problem with our bigger skylight by using 2 square standard size skylights and created a modified curb to deal with it. Looks great on the inside and out. Max and his worker were very careful and did a fabulous job. I highly recommend using his company. BTW, what I didn't realize was the flat glass skylights give you a beautiful view of the sky and the clouds. Never had that before. AND, what a huge difference in the heat gain inside the house. We open the skylights at night and a window on the 1st floor. The air flow is fabulous. Our house is about 5-8 degrees cooler all day.

The difference between Max and the other skylight companies is you’re dealing directly with the business owner who also happens to do the work of repairing, replacing, or installing skylights. You’re not paying to train an apprentice to work on your roof. Max is the real deal and he is prompt, professional, honest, and hard working along with his helper. I would highly recommend him.

We had been waiting for Velux to replace the broken blind of our skylight and finally they connected us to Max. He contacted us straight away and set up a time to come and fix it.
